Incognito

We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade, the presence of God. The world is crowded with God. God walks everywhere incognito. And the incognito is not always hard to penetrate. The real labour is to remember, to attend. In fact, to come awake. Still more, to remain awake.

I had the rare and wonderful opportunity to have lunch today with a long time friend of mine - I say rare opportunity because he is the pastor at a busy and growing church, while also being a son, brother, husband and father of 4 children.

We were talking about scripture, more specifically about a Bible study that I attend on Tuesdays that has been in existence for I don't know maybe twelve years or so now. I was telling him that almost every week, the specific scripture that we study that day speaks to what's going on with me at the particular time.

My friend was telling me that scripture can do that, especially when you are watching for it. God's own presence is in many ways similar to scripture's, (you) have to be looking for Him to see Him.
